The Role

We are looking to recruit an Undergraduate Surveyor to join our successful and growing Survey team in Geelong. This is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career in surveying and work on urban/land development, residential subdivision and major infrastructure projects. With training and mentoring provided by industry experts, your duties will include:

  • Undertaking field work duties and assisting in the preparation of survey plans and topography surveys
  • Assisting with data transfer, field survey set-out & data collection, reduction, and processing
  • Collecting, analysing, and collating survey data
  • Producing calculations and plans
  • Ensuring all surveying tasks are meet with appropriate technical standards in-line with client requirements and SMEC’s policies and procedures
  • Liaising with project managers and appropriate stakeholders to ascertain information required to undertake documentation tasks

About you

  • Final year student undertaking relevant Survey qualifications
  • Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of Surveying principles to analyse and interpret information
  • Experience using Trimble surveying equipment (advantageous)
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • White Card
