The CDL Delivery Driver, Warehouse, and Production Assistant is a key player in ensuring the seamless coordination of delivery, warehouse, and production operations. This role involves driving a commercial vehicle to deliver goods—including hazardous materials—managing inventory and supporting production activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, particularly in handling hazardous materials, and will contribute to maintaining an efficient, organized, and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Driving and Delivery:

  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products, including hazardous materials, to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Plan and execute the most efficient delivery routes.
  • Load and unload products with care, verifying delivery details and securing customer signatures upon receipt.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, promptly reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazmat regulations during transportation.

Warehouse Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately organize incoming inventory, with a focus on hazardous materials.
  • Maintain precise inventory records, ensuring all transactions are documented.
  • Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards, operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Production Support:

  • Assist in the production process by setting up and operating machinery, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Monitor production quality, promptly reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all production materials, including hazardous substances, are adequately stocked and readily available.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL will need to acquire Hazmat Certification.
  • Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly with hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management and equipment operation.
  • Basic understanding of production processes and machinery.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
