Job Description
ACCIONA Agua is a global leader in water treatment solutions, renowned for our commitment to sustainability and innovation. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Tender Engineer to join our National Tendering Team. This role sits within our Business Development and Technical teams, where you will play a crucial role in securing new projects and driving the future growth of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Preparation: Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of tender submissions, working closely with the Business Development and Technical teams to develop competitive and compliant proposals. Your expertise will ensure that our tenders are technically sound and aligned with client requirements.
Technical Support: Provide expert advice and support to the tendering process, including the development of preliminary designs, specifications, and cost estimates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all technical inputs are accurate and comprehensive.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Business Development, Project Management, and Technical teams, to gather the necessary information and ensure that tender submissions are coordinated and complete.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with the mechanical aspects of tenders and propose mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery post-award.
Document Management: Oversee the preparation and submission of all mechanical engineering-related documentation for tenders, including technical calculations, schedules, procurement specifications, and other relevant documents.
Industry Engagement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in water treatment and desalination to ensure that our tenders remain competitive and innovative.
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Tendering Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on tendering, ideally within the water treatment, desalination, or related industries.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical design, procurement, and installation practices, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Collaboration Skills: Excellent ability to work within cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Project Management, and Technical departments.
Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical systems, with a focus on water treatment and desalination projects.
