JR Automation is currently looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Production Control Specialist.
What You’ll Do:
Validate and attach parts/assemblies to project jobs per direction from engineering (quantity per Project Job with due dates)
Create appropriate material requirements on project jobs
Work with project teams to enter accurate need dates for projects
Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and part location integrity
Manage ongoing changes to Project BOMs in Epicor throughout the life of the project and modify existing Manufacturing Jobs
Schedule and release new Manufacturing Jobs as needed
Work with project team to properly upload build to print files into ERP system
Be a key go-to resource on how to execute and correct day-to-day problem that arise while executing in the Epicor environment. Examples include: 1) work with Purchasing and Receiving to fix receipt issues, 2) re-route demands when a requisition is charged to an un-opened/un-released phase job 3) helping employees with time entry and corrections
Create jobs for internal machine shop when make vs buy decision is made
Perform non-accounting closeout functions at the conclusion of a project
Update part masters or create new part masters from vendor feedback to Purchasing
Create new Manufacturers in Epicor
Create new User Accounts for new employees
Assist Purchasing with adding new demand lines for progress payments
Create barcode labels for warehouses/bins
Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the highest standards of on time delivery of quality products.

What You’ll Bring:
At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing business setting
Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus)
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
