You'll support our accounting department and work with various teams, helping us streamline processes and make a direct impact on our operations. Due to the nature of transactions flowing through the Intercompany Accounts, you will be exposed to large variety of sub-processes and are expected to cooperate closely with various teams (AP, Cash & AR, Treasury, Tax, Legal) which directly or indirectly impact the Intercompany processes. You will manage the full process of the intercompany financing including accounting and reporting and you will develop into a Subject Matter Expert in the intercompany area.

The Prologis organization in Europe is structured with a vast number of legal entities; there are over 1,100 legal entities operating across multiple jurisdictions and 14 countries, and you will be performing IC reconciliations for all of them and take appropriate action.

What does it look like?

  • Maintain the setup of customer/vendor information for 1000+ BU’s in line with the internal policies and timelines
  • Manage the intercompany mailbox, verify and review details of intercompany requests received, handle the communication and provide status updates on a timely basis and on a professional level
  • Calculate and process intercompany incoming/outgoing recharge requests regarding all European companies in compliance with accounting policies and local statutory requirements, investigate and resolve any errors with operating companies where required
  • Prepare payments and collections relating to intercompany, coordinate with Treasury for any settlement, failed payments and more complex transactions
  • Reconcile GL balances on intercompany accounts, perform preliminary and final reconciliations, investigate and explain any unreconciled items and prepare action plans to correct the differences noted, calculate and prepare intercompany accruals
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities in line with corporate closing calendar
  • Assist and provide internal/external auditors, controllers, accounting management, and other members of the accounting team with accurate financial information, support statutory processes for all our 1000+ BU’s across 12 countries
  • Develop effective working relationships with key partners such as treasury, VAT, compliance and various accounting teams
  • Document, implement and manage accounting processes, controls and systems to ensure appropriate level of internal control
  • Ownership of KPI delivery and improvements where required, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Have relevant work experience, ideally in a fast-paced international setting.
  • Strong excel experience
