Job Description

With over two billion dollars' worth of work in hand and a healthy pipeline of future projects ahead, our western region is experiencing an exciting period of growth. To help support this growth, we seek to bring a suitably experienced Cost Controller into our business to work on major projects within the Perth metro area.    

 

Reporting into the Cost Manager, you will be responsible for exercising of proper financial control across the project, including cost control, forecasting, project reporting and claims management. 
 
Key accountabilities for the position:  

  • Develop, Implement and Install the Job pack systems.   

  • Development and maintenance of cost control procedures for the project. 

  • Provision of guidance and support to the QS commercial teams; including reporting structures and requirements, forecasting, timetable guidance, transparency (especially variations and contingency) 

  • Manage the Month End reporting process, ensuring all reconciliations and supporting work-papers are prepared 

  • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.   

  • Completed a postgraduate accounting qualification – CPA or CA.   

  • Practical experience with using and maintaining finance systems.   

  • Strong to Advanced Excel.   

  • Good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
