Want to help us in our mission to end the plastic pollution crisis?

Then come join Samsara in tackling one of the planet's biggest problems with big impact!

Samsara is developing a revolutionary enzyme and biodegradation technology for infinite plastic recycling. Our company’s mission is to eliminate plastic waste. We will be able to convert post-consumer PET back to its original monomers for use in new food grade packaging or polyester fibres, enabling infinite recycling without the problem of degradation. Over time, we envisage that Samsara will develop a series of technologies to enable recycling of other forms of plastic as well. Our goal is to be able to recycle a mixed bale of plastic, which would be a world first.

Samsara is no ordinary start up. Samsara represents the coming together of co-founders the Australian National university (ANU), one of Australia's largest retailers and Main Sequence Ventures, to address a big planetary problem and build the kind of solution the world has been waiting for. Not only will Samsara’s technology play a key role in solving the world's plastic recycling problems and eliminating the production of plastics from fossil fuels, but our commercial potential is also compelling.

Through our revolutionary technology we are challenging the status quo in recycling. Not only are we building a business that solves for the infinite recycling challenge, we are going to build a way to turn the 91% of 7.3 billion tonnes of plastic that has already ended up as waste and break it back down to its original monomers to recreate plastic at a fraction of the cost both financially and no cost to the environment as it will be a cyclical process achieved without requiring fossil fuels and all done simultaneously, avoiding the otherwise hundreds of years required to degrade to landfill.

Not only are we focused on improving things for the planet, but we are also going to create an extraordinary employment experience for everyone who joins us on the Samsara journey.

This role can be based in Canberra or Sydney.
