The Managing Consultant will support the delivery of ERM's Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change services to clients in Taiwan, Central East Asia in line with ERM purpose and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting/leading in project management activities under direction from Partners (e.g. manage budget, identification of follow up opportunities, monitoring client satisfaction, managing risks).
  • Project coordination and client management including overseeing deliverables and facilitating meetings;
  • Delivering projects across a range of sectors, clients and countries. Areas of project focus include:
    • Corporate sustainability and ESG strategy development and target-setting;
    • Development of corporate sustainability and ESG reports;
    • Climate strategy development and related services, such as analysis of climate risks and opportunities, decarbonization strategy;
    • Analysis of sustainability risks, opportunities and trends for clients, as well as conducting policy/regulatory analysis;
    • Gap analysis and benchmarking of client sustainability programs and performance;
    • Supporting clients in responding to assessment questionnaires and disclosure requirement, such as DJSI, Ecovadis, CDP, TCFD, TNFD
    • Supporting management and delivery of corporate sustainability- and climate-related proposals.
    • Supporting interactions/commercial activities, developing relationship with current and potential clients.
    • Actively contributing to effective project teams through collaboration;
    • Collaborating with ERM sustainability and social technical community across the region;

Requirements:

  • Master's and/or Degree in environmental economics or similar discipline. 
  • At least 8 years of experience in climate change, corporate sustainability, business strategy, and other related fields. Those with more experience can be considered for a more senior position
  • A good grasp of any of the following is an advantage: renewable energy, decarbonization strategies / Net Zero planning, Circular Economy and Low Carbon Economy Transition.
  • Ability to work independently, strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Team management skills, ability to mentor junior consultants and help develop their capabilities.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills in Chinese and English
