We are looking for a Sales Operations Analyst to join our team in Boulder, CO. Job Description 

As part of the Ascend Team, you will provide consultative support to Ascend’s clients who use our services for siting, valuation, and operation of battery energy storage projects throughout the United States.  We are seeking talented individuals with a serious commitment to client services, marketing, and analytics within the energy and power market environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • CRM management and sales process optimization 
    • Manage, alter, and track records within Ascend’s Salesforce environment  
    • Aid team members in the quote-to-cash pipeline
    • Data Analysis - Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement
    • Improve efficiencies in sales process, and build KPI tracking dashboards  
  • Coordinate and manage contract terms between internal commercial and technical groups   
    • Optimize internal project workflows
    • Perform basic quantitative analysis within a collaborative environment
    • Track the status and progress of projects spanning multiple teams
  • Provide sales and software support to clients across the development, IPP, and utility energy space
    • Field and respond to daily questions and requests regarding software functionality & project requests
    • Understand, assemble, and index supporting documentation
    • Assist in assimilating complex information into readily understood reports and presentations
    • Provide web-based software training and guidance 

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Technical skills – proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel), and CRM platforms (Salesforce) with a strong plus for prior admin experience 
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in data accuracy and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Passion for renewable energy and supporting the energy transition
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, and work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Well-developed quantitative analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in the technical, economic, and policy aspects of energy
  • Aptitude to learn/ speak intelligibly on a broad level about the technical side of the power industry 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and exemplary academic background
  • Salesforce (2-3 years preferred)
  • Demonstrated interest in economics or STEM studies
  • Project management experience (preferred; could be academic or volunteer)
  • Client Facing/Customer Service experience a strong plus (1+ year preferred) 

 

Compensation  ($70,000 - $95,000) 

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
