The Supplier Integration Manager - Balance of Plant is a key member of the Supply Chain team. They are accountable for overseeing the procurement for the balance of plant and managing source selection and orders for procurements under CFS’ direct responsibility. They also develop cost models for budget development, database building, and construction planning to help determine direct buy vs. outsourcing.

This individual’s role is to partner with the business to support the company’s long-term construction objectives through vendor and (sub)contractor sourcing, contract negotiations, risk mitigation and order tracking. This position will primarily support Plant Equipment, Equipment Installation, Plant maintenance, Plant Assembly and Construction Services categories. However as the company requirements change, this position will be given the opportunity to support many other categories as needed.


This team member will:

  • Build out a should cost model based on local CFS historical and local market data
  • Perform business process analysis and gather data as a negotiating tool and to support budget development 
  • Conduct advanced quantitative analysis to identify financial and schedule impacts of decisions
  • Support the decision-making process determining whether CFS or the General Contractor should procure construction equipment and materials for new construction work packages
  • Run sourcing projects, coordinating cross-functionally between the construction, engineering, quality, planning and finance teams
  • Support multiple sites and projects
  • Customize and negotiate short and long-term agreements for parts, subassemblies, finished goods, equipment, and/or services from suppliers 
  • Introduce cost savings initiatives and drive cost reduction and lead time improvement projects, and quality improvement projects
  • Create purchase orders up to authorized limits and resolve blocked invoices related to assigned scope
  • Visit suppliers as necessary to conduct business reviews or check on manufacturing milestones
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLA's and KPI's for suppliers and measure the appropriate criteria, such as: delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality and timeliness of delivery
  • Utilize creative negotiations to maximize value and cost savings benefit while lowering risk
  • Establish preferred suppliers by category. Create and implement related management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPIs of the supply base
  • Skillfully balance the price, delivery, quality, service, and value tradeoffs and rationalize the supply base
  • Adhere to all supply chain policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions including those regarding the procurement of materials, intellectual property, and export compliance
  • Negotiate internally and externally at high levels or with persons of influence frequently

The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance or other related field
  • 3+ years experience in Procurement or Supply Chain 
  • At least 1 years experience in construction estimating, procurement or management 
  • Experience in construction should cost modeling and budget tracking
  • Strong experience data analytics
  • Experience in budget forecasting
  • Understanding of ERP systems and MRP logic
  • Creative negotiating skills
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks
  • Works with Integrity

Additional preferred experience and/or qualifications:

  • Certifications:  C.C.M, A.P.P., C.P.M., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM
  • Experience in a R&D, start-up or high growth environment
  • Construction Estimating
  • Perform activities such as typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Regular visit to CFS sites required. Up to once a month
  • Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
