What you need to qualify:

Equivalent to graduation from college with a major in the physical, biological, or environmental sciences, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. (Registration as a senior in a recognized institution will admit applicants to the examination, but they must produce evidence of graduation or its equivalent before they can be considered eligible for appointment.)

 

This position will do important work related to the Clean Transportation Program (CTP). This role will have the opportunity to evaluate vehicle and infrastructure issues and assist private and public partners to introduce improved vehicles, engines, fueling stations, and other related infrastructure through joint funding of projects, technical assistance, and outreach activities. This position will also be a team lead and help to manage funding agreements, contracts, solicitations, and assist in the development and deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and fueling infrastructure in California.

 

✔️Salary Range: $5,746.00 - $11,121.00 per month, full benefits, PTO, and state pension plan!

✔️Hybrid telework option available (California based position).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of alternative fuel vehicles, engines, and fueling infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of transportation market evaluation methods and factors.
  • Knowledge of current private sector and public policy related to environmental issues in the alternative transportation fuels, technologies and infrastructure development area.
  • Knowledge of economic cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and quantitative analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to make effective presentations and interact effectively with both internal staff and external regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to interact will all levels of technical staff, management and Commissioners
  • Ability to assume a lead position in a team atmosphere related to environmental issues resolution.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills and the ability to reason logically and creatively while utilizing a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts effectively with a large diverse technical staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to work in a team atmosphere under pressure effectively, as well as independently and at own initiative.
