Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the Quality Engineer is part of the QA team supporting the introduction of new product designs and continuous improvement of a large catalogue of existing products, manufacturing process capability and supplier management programs. The role is focused on built in quality through advanced manufacturing, data intelligence and customer centric culture. The function will contribute to outcomes that deliver sustainable business efficiencies and enhanced customer experience.

  • FMEA / quality control plans

  • Manufacturing capability studies

  • In process QC methodology and data logging

  • Quality in automation / Factory Of the Future

  • Inspection and sampling plans / techniques

  • Supplier qualification PPAP process

  • 6 Sigma tools and methodology

  • Concurrent engineering with product design

  • Continuous improvement - new and legacy products

  • Customer satisfaction & quality improvement

About you

The ideal candidate would have completed a Total Quality Management (TQM) module as part of their degree. Beneficial experience includes working in a manufacturing environment, managing suppliers, and interpreting standards and technical drawings. They should have a solid grasp of statistical methods in quality and process capability and manage metrology equipment and calibration. Keeping up with the latest manufacturing and engineering trends is also a plus.
