The Energy Commission seeks a Staff Services Manager, known as the Legislative Manager, in the Office of Governmental and International Affairs. Under the general direction of the Director of Office of Governmental and International Affairs (OGIA), this key position will supervise OGIA administrative and analytical staff and support and advise the OGIA Director and Commission leadership.

 

Telework Policy: The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. This position requires an average of 2 days per week of in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division

 

Salary Range: $6,963.00 - $8,650.00 per month, full benefits, PTO, and state pension plan!

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and direct staff in a time-sensitive, high pressure, workload-driven environment.

2. Experience with the legislative process, including bill tracking and bill analysis.

3. Experience with state administration and employment policies

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate publicly and directly to decision makers.

5. Ability to work independently.

6. Superior communication skills, written and verbal.

7. Proven ability to effectively edit complex written work.

8. Strong computer skills.

9. A willingness and desire to learn new skills and methods.

10. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
