Low Carbon Apprentice

About the Job
You will also be responsible for:
- Carrying out outstanding work with design criteria, manufacturers guidance, regulations and industry recognised standards and procedures in mind at all times
- Completing prep work for the installation of low carbon tech
- Testing handover procedures for low carbon tech
- Removing and disposing of old heating and hot water systems (to make place for our shiny, low carbon ones!)
- Completing routine servicing and maintenance within customer homes
What you need:
- A Maths and English GCSE at level 4-9, functional skills Maths and English, or equivalent
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points
- Permanent right to work in the UK for the duration of Apprenticeship
- Great problem solving skills
- Resilience and ability to learn from mistakes
- Motivation to learn and develop
Key details:
- Apprenticeship: Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician
- Duration: 24-months (plus 4-month EPA – End Point Assessment)
- Location: Coventry, Manchester, Leicester, Chester, Stoke-on-Trent, Bristol, Portsmouth, Guildford, Slough, Kingston upon Thames, Colchester and Canterbury
- Start Date: 24th November 2024
- Requirements: GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 or Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English, or equivalent. Full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points).
- Salary: Starting salary (for age 16-20) £17,652, and (for age 21+) £20,381 with salary progression throughout and a final salary, after 5 years in role, from £40,000.
