Backend Engineer

Working predominantly in Python, you should take pride in writing clean, well-documented, and tested code. In addition to your technical expertise, you should be adaptable and willing to challenge legacy systems as we push forward with modernizing industrial automation technology.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Software Development:</strong> Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable software solutions primarily using Python. Experience hosting and deploying web apps is required. Experience building REST APIs and with Docker also preferred.</li> <li><strong>Cloud Integration:</strong> Utilize AWS services to build, manage, and scale applications. Experience with AWS is required. Experience with Terraform preferred.</li> <li><strong>Code Quality:</strong> Write clear and maintainable code with comprehensive docstrings, implement thorough testing (unit and integration), and ensure code quality through the use of linters and other tools</li> <li><strong>Adaptability:</strong> Embrace the evolving nature of a startup and contribute to the modernization of industrial automation by actively challenging and improving upon legacy systems.</li> <li><strong>Edge Device Development:</strong> Work with edge devices, developing and optimizing software that operates at the interface of hardware and software. Develop and maintain software running on Linux-based systems. Develop networking and cloud networking solutions.</li> <li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with a diverse, geographically distributed team.</li> <li><strong>Continuous Learning:</strong> Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to your work.</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications:</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience with Python.
