Salary: £40,000 basic annual salary

Based: Huntingdon

Permanent: 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday

The Opportunity/Role 📢

Reporting to the Head of Price & Bid Management this role is dedicated to securing sales on behalf of the company, in line with the Company’s pricing policy, through telesales, verbal/written quotation and face-to-face activities as required to achieve targets that are inline with the Company’s Sales Budget and the Company Plan. Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and build any new-business relationships, within all market sectors (currently Utilities, Distribution, Contractors/End Users, OEM’s, Inter-Company), to ensure we establish and/or exceed our targeted market share.        

  • Research, develop, exhibit and apply a thorough knowledge of the UK market, Aliaxis products, competitor activity and our existing/potential customers, in order to keep up to date, operate effectively and contribute to the Company Plan. 

  • Actively liaise and develop relationships with all Sales Managers, Sales Management Team and Customer Services, to best-position and best-route Aliaxis existing/potential Sales opportunities. 

  • Report sales activity and complete appropriate administration accurately and on time to ensure the sales process runs smoothly.

  • Assist with any product costings as required in support of Sales opportunities. Complete Sales reporting and analysis on a regular and on-demand basis. 

Requirements:

  • Ability to consistently secure sales through telephone/written negotiation  

  • Excellent communicator – both verbally and in writing - assertive and sales-focussed with effective influencing, questioning and negotiating skills  

  • Ability to build and develop external relationships with key contacts and demonstrate influential use of the same

  • Confident professionalism with emotional understanding – able to question, listen and interpret to exert influence and gain agreement 

  • Positive, engaging and collaborative attitude - build trusts, builds rapport and fully connects
