Responsibilities:

  • Build and optimise scalable processes to support Pivotal's growth.
  • Own end-to-end customer delivery, from logistics and operations for field technicians collecting data through to post-collection data management and processing required for product delivery.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to maintain a strong focus on quality, timeliness and adherence to budget, and prioritisation of mission-critical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain project plans and regularly provide updates to internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment, escalate issues in a timely manner, and unblock teams as needed.
  • Initiate, implement and champion agile practices and process optimisation at the company level.
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop operations & delivery team members.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, impact, innovation, and health.

You should apply if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, technology, or other relevant field. PMP/PRINCE II Certification a plus but not required.
  • 5-8 years of experience with relevant operations or program management experience spanning multiple workstreams/business units.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, with experience leading teams and interacting with various business leaders on key initiatives, including leading process improvements.
  • Structured and creative thinker with the ability to identify business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and optimise processes using data. Experience using SQL a plus but not required.
  • Detail-oriented, well-developed sense of urgency and ownership in meeting individual and group deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to independently draft and review key documents for internal and external consumption.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and passion for building and growing a successful company, and the ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • (Ideally) a base in the UK or Western Europe.

About Pivotal:

We are a team of ecologists and technologists who believe good business must be good for nature. We are revolutionizing the nature space by linking biodiversity commitments and actions to real, auditable data. Evidence of real improvements in biodiversity is critical to the expansion of innovative financial mechanisms which fund the restoration of nature. Without this evidence, investors are exposed to the risk of false promises, human bias and reputational damage.

Following our €5.6m seed round investment from some of Europe’s leading VCs and advocates for a better planet, we are growing our team to support our next stage of growth. We are here to build an institution that changes the way the world collaboratively works on one of the largest problems our planet is facing, and the only way we can do that is by bringing together a team who is passionate about restoring nature in new and exciting ways.

What we offer you:

  • Impact; you will be joining us in the early days of the business, giving you plenty of opportunity to contribute to developing operational processes that will be critical to how value is unlocked from nature.
  • Autonomy; we want to build a culture of trust and give you the space to do your best work.
  • Remote-first; a fast-paced start-up environment with opportunities for in-person collaboration as needed.
  • Competitive salary & benefits.
  • A fun and diverse team of smart and very mission-oriented, driven people.

We are a remote-first, diverse team from a broad range of backgrounds. We expect there will be areas where there is scope for personal development, so please do apply if you don’t feel that you meet all the criteria. We’re an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neurodiversity, disability status or any other basis as protected by applicable law.
