This is how you will grow:


Under general supervision, this position will get a mixture of hands-on projects, lab experience and computer and administrative work. EDAG interns are provided valuable assignments and work alongside experienced engineers to gain a real-world experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design. All specific assignment details will be identified and shared with the intern prior to their start date and will be aligned with their field of study. We strive to provide the best internship experience possible, and each intern will be treated as a valuable, contributing team member.

This is how you will take us forward:

  • Design automotive components with the use one or more Auto Cad systems of NX Unigraphics, (CATIA V5 CAD or Solidworks software optional)
  • Creating project plans for all phases of the Product development plan.
  • Partner with the engineering team in design / development to provide OEM customers a world class design, cost and quality product
  • Coordinate design and design change activities for various customers
  • Collaborate among interdisciplinary teams (ME, EE, ChemE, & Lab Techs) to solve problems
  • Gain experience using a variety of engineering software programs
  • 20-40 hours per week (Will work with class schedule)

Requirements

  • Senior year Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering program preferred
  • SAE/Formula project experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills required
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Strong desire to learn all aspects of automotive design
