We’re looking for a Head of Sales in Germany. 

About the Role:

As our Head of Sales, you will be at the forefront of our business growth across Germany. You’ll have the autonomy to shape and implement a robust sales strategy, inspire and lead a team of sales managers and their sales teams, and ensure that we not only meet, but surpass our targets. Your role will be pivotal in driving market penetration and ensuring that our sales operations are aligned with the company’s broader objectives.

Location: This role can be based anywhere in Germany, however you will need to travel frequently and flexibly to customer and Aggreko locations.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a dynamic sales strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Marketing. You'll leverage your ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to create and implement plans that drive results.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team. Your leadership will be key in fostering a culture of collaboration, resilience, and accountability. You’ll be hands-on in coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring they have the support and guidance to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities. You will provide regular insights to senior management, ensuring that decision-making is informed by comprehensive data. Your ability to communicate these insights across teams will help build alignment and drive collective success.
  • Driving Change and Continuous Improvement: As a change agent, you will champion continuous improvement within your team. By engaging in cross-functional collaboration, you’ll lead initiatives that enhance our sales processes and outcomes.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure that your team insights new relationships, as well as builds and maintains strong connections with current and previous customers. Your leadership will ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business through tailored solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align sales strategies with the company’s objectives. Your proactive communication and collaborative approach will foster a sense of collective ownership across the organization.

You’ll have the following skills & experience:

  • Proven Leadership Experience: You have a track record of leading and managing sizable sales teams, which has included leading experienced sales managers. Your experience demonstrates a consistent ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Inspiring and Development-Focused: You’re not just a leader; you’re a mentor. You have the ability to inspire, coach, and develop your team, even in challenging times. You thrive in promoting a culture of constructive feedback, resilience, and proactive communication.
  • Strategic Visionary: You bring deep industry knowledge and a strategic mindset to develop and execute sales plans that drive growth. You believe in a collaborative approach, ensuring that your strategies are informed by diverse perspectives across functions.
  • Financial and Customer-Centric Acumen: You’re financially astute, with a strong focus on delivering customer-centric solutions. Your approach to problem-solving is both commercial and collaborative, ensuring results that align with company goals.
  • Adaptability and High Standards: You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Your leadership style exemplifies maintaining high standards of work and organizational efficiency, fostering continuous learning and solution-oriented approaches within your team.

Please note: English is our primary language for international business, and interviews will be conducted in both German and English.
