About the Position:

This is a permanent opportunity, and preferred locations for this position are Tokyo, Japan


Your role will include the following accountabilities:

  • You will act as Capture Team Leader, and you assign a team of specialists to support and develop the opportunity into a long-term service agreement
  • Lead the Customer negotiations
  • Involve and inform the various stakeholders within the Customer and Wartsila organisation
  • Manage, report the progress, and successfully close the assigned opportunities
  • Orchestrate Co-Creation and close the pilot case deals together with the business development team.
  • Ensure the won deals provide agreed margin to Wärtsilä
  • Strengthen cooperation with key stakeholders
  • Ensure correct risk mitigation actions are taken and the internal procedures are followed

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Good understanding of Marine market and the customer earning logics preferably by having worked at a shipping company (onshore or offshore)
  • MSc / BSc in Engineering, Marine or comparable commercial education
  • 5 years+ relevant experience in Marine Agreements or Marine B2B sales
  • A proven track record of developing complex commercial sales cases including consultative selling skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a cross-functional matrix team
  • Strong ability to extract customer value including mapping explicit and implied needs
  • Ability to convey and build complex solutions working in a decentralized organization
  • Capable of managing a variety of stakeholder networks and navigating through different priorities, coupled with strong influencing skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and want to make things happen
  • People first mind-set and understanding that results come through teamwork and collaboration
  • Readiness to travel; 20% (domestic and international)
