We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team in the UAV and aerial manufacturing industry. This key role involves overseeing and coordinating international movement, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and finished products across multiple manufacturing sites. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain, maintaining high levels of efficiency, and ensuring adherence to local and international transport regulations of dangerous and military goods.

Tasks

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the production and distribution of components, subassemblies and finished products.
  • Optimize the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and procurement, teams to align logistics operations with overall business goals.
  • Manage the transportation of materials between manufacturing sites and to final destinations.
  • Implement and maintain logistics management systems to track shipments, inventory, and orders.
  • Identify potential risks in the logistics process and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure contingency plans are in place to address disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Address and resolve logistics-related issues promptly to minimize the impact on production and delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, destinies, local and governmental Authorities, and transportation providers to ensure transport documentation and permits are available, complete and comply with transport regulations of dangerous goods, military, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including military clients and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4-8 years) in logistics and supply chain.
  • Familiarity with dangerous goods and export control transport regulations.
  • Proven experience with logistic tools and ERP systems.
  • English will be your working language. Other languages will be highly valued.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and customers.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Miscellaneous

  • The preferred work location will be Hengelo (NL).
  • Domestic and International travel are required.
  • Security clearance may be required depending on the nature of the projects.
