Responsibilities:

  • Build & manage a robust commercial funnel to drive revenue growth for Freudenberg Medical’s Minimally Invasive design, development and manufacturing solutions in Minnesota and Central USA territories.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for promoting, selling and managing large opportunities with strategic MedTech OEMs to achieve Freudenberg Medical’s strategic vision.

  • You will be responsible for selling an extensive range of minimally invasive solutions including, but not limited to, complex disposable devices, delivery/retrieval systems, access sheaths and introducers, steerable catheter systems and handles & complex catheter shafts. Additionally, you will represent Freudenberg Medical’s component portfolio for laser-cut/coated/finished hypotube-based components and sub-assemblies including long flexible needles, and Freudenberg Medical’s coating technologies in drug/device solutions and hydrophilic coating within the sales territory.

  • Drive contact introductions, networking, and relationship building in the Product Management, Engineering, and Global Sourcing organizations at key OEMs in Strategic Markets and Applications.

  • Build relevant clinical knowledge about procedures and device technologies to engage in informed discussions with key contacts at targeted OEMs in strategic markets. You will be capable of clearly identifying and explaining how Freudenberg Medical can contribute to improving customer product portfolios and help them achieve growth goals.

  • Early engagement analysis of every opportunity to quickly understand the timing, scope of responsibilities of Freudenberg medical, Freudenberg Medical’s value in the relationship, market value to the customer, market positioning of the customer, and ultimately the commercial value of the overall engagement to both Freudenberg Medical and the customer.

  • Support internal marketing leaders and initiatives to identify the appropriate strategic markets, clinical applications, device technologies, and OEM industry leaders in the Minnesota and Central USA territories.

  • Develop and support senior level relationship building at key Med Device OEM customers and prospects.

  • Input and sustain critical Lead, Account, and Opportunity data in SalesForce, in real time, utilizing the RFQ function to submit quote and proposal requests with the appropriate Freudenberg Medical facility

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 8 + years experience, in the Medical Device B-to-B industry, communicating directly with OEMs in the areas of business development, sales, strategic planning, and complex negotiations.

  • Medical device industry experience required; developing and representing development or manufacturing services experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership and managing multiple projects of medium and high complexity

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.

  • Effective customer relationship development and account management skills.

  • Frequent Travel (50%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or life science related advanced degree, or the educational equivalent

  • Existing relationships with OEMs in the disposable medical device or catheter industries

Ideal Candidate

  • Well-connected Business Development professional with a strong existing network at major OEMs in the Minnesota area in product markets including Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular, Neurovascular, and Endoscopy

  • Existing understanding of current market dynamics in those same strategic markets, as well as baseline clinical knowledge in key applications and technologies in each market

  • Self-motivated learner with technical aptitude who can develop additional clinical knowledge in existing target markets, procedures, and technologies, and share that knowledge successfully within our organization

  • Strong communicator who can quickly understand the core of the conversation, capture the core value of the discussion for the parties involved, and align all parties to move forward on a productive path
