What will you do in this role?

In this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the well-being of the communications between our space and ground segments. You will be operating, maintaining, and contributing to expanding our network of ground stations distributed around the world, looking after the quality and reliability of our contacts,  and participating in the design and validation of automation mechanisms to assess their quality and effectiveness. In this capacity, you will be interacting with multiple stakeholders within the organization, as well as with customers and Ground Station providers.

You will also be involved in initiatives relating to the deployment of new ground stations and its integration with the rest of the ground segment. 

In addition, and depending on your drive, you will get the opportunity to expand your scope to other topics within the domain of Satellite Communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Problem solving skills. Ability to identify, research, and resolve new problems, or problems involving new technologies.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in operations related roles.
  • Experience with networking concepts and technologies, both cloud and on-prem.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Strong team-working and communication skills in English. 

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial (although not mandatory) if you had the below attributes and skills: 

  • Experience working with ground stations and/or satellite communications.
  • Familiarity with digital communications concepts such as modulation and coding schemes.
  • Familiarity with radio frequency concepts.
  • Experience with software development.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Familiarity with protocols involved in satellite communications.
  • Familiarity with Operations related  processes and tools.

  • Base salary range for this position in Poland is per 16,000 - 18,000 PLN per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
