Summary:

The mission of Powin’s Data team is to use data and analytics to enhance operational effectiveness, promote strategic decision-making, and improve asset performance. We design, develop, and maintain data products for performance and market optimization, system health analysis, asset intelligence, and predictive maintenance. The Data Product Owner plays an integral role throughout the lifecycle of our data products. In joining our team, you will develop deep expertise in our data ecosystem and its relationship to Powin’s hardware and software, design data products in collaboration with cross-functional partners, and ensure effective execution and alignment with company goals.

Job Details:

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to assess needs, define user requirements, and increase the value of data products
  • Work with the Product and Data teams to manage roadmaps, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination
  • Manage roadmaps and prioritization strategies, communicating progress and challenges to executive audiences
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to ensure sound and transparent data governance
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze internal usage data, and help prototype new features to drive continuous improvement of data products
  • Partner with Data Scientists, as well as hardware and software experts, to build an internal knowledge base that explains how our systems generate, process, and use data
  • Lead the development of technical papers and presentations, showcasing Data team analyses and products.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to present defensible product claims to external audiences.
  • Research and analyze competitor analytics offerings to inform long-term Data team strategy
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven strategic initiatives
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance data product offerings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, product management or related fields
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL preferred
  • Proven track record in managing complex technical projects from conception to completion
  • Strong communication skills, including an ability to effectively engage and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across engineering, sales, and operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support global teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Remote opportunity within the United States, with the willingness to travel as needed for business
