The Role

We are seeking to engage a BESS Engineer to join our Energy Team in Auckland. This role is responsible for providing the design engineering knowledge and effective project management skills specific to BESS, Solar and Renewables projects across ANZ.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting more senior Engineers with the analysis of information, production of designs and computations under broad supervision
  • Preparing specifications, proposals and other documentation under broad supervision
  • Using a combination of standard and modified Engineering methods/techniques in addition to those developed in previous assignments for the purpose of solving problems
  • Preparing client and technical reports
  • Researching for alternative solutions via Internet and library resources to assist in ensuring that solutions both make commercial sense and meet the clients requirements
  • Assuming responsibility for the accuracy and correctness of calculations prepared for design
  • Working within project timeframes and budgets

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
  • Relevant experience and background in BESS, Solar and Renewables is essential
  • Ability to independently use basic theoretical knowledge of Engineering principles to analyse, interpret and conclude on standard matters or decisions
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
