ERM is seeking a Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consulting Associate to join ERM Hong Kong. In this role, you will work closely with other consultants on climate change and sustainability related topics. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert global consulting company on challenging environmental projects for large industrial and global clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Project Managers on the delivery of a wide range of climate change and sustainability projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and in Asia Pacific
  • Act as a consultant and contribute to climate change and sustainability projects under direction from Line Manager or Partners
  • Perform tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables
  • Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Climate Change Science, Energy Transition/Decarbonisation, Corporate Sustainability, Climate Risk Assessment, Sustainable Finance and Nature Positive is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking and report writing skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese or/and Mandarin) is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team is essential.
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications.
  • A good grasp of any of the following would be an advantage: renewable energy/power sector, sustainable supply chain, financial and macroeconomic analysis, ESG raters and rankers.
  • Qualification in Environmental Science, Energy, Climate Change, Economics, Biology, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Experience in environmental consultancy, industry or environment focused non-governmental organisations is a plus.
