About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and based at our site in Coopers Plains, QLD, this role is key in the delivery, continuous improvement, safety and monitoring of production assets to ensure optimal plant performance and strategic maintenance activities are achieved.
What will you do?
The delivery of reliable, efficient, safe, strategic and routine preventative maintenance activities
Carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules and goals are achieved
Responding to break down situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor
Prioritising work requests entered in the MEX system
Recording use and stock of critical machine and process parts
Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities
Liaise with supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment
Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Production, Planning, Toolroom and Engineering teams
Working to pre-determined and measurable KPIs.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
Trade certification in mechanical fitting or related trade
Licenses: forklift, EWP, confined spaces
Minimum 5 years’ experience or equivalent in manufacturing maintenance and/or similar industry
Advanced understanding of hydraulic & pneumatics
Knowledge of extrusion, water process plant and associated equipment
Welding competence (Mig/Tig/Arc)
Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices with a commitment to best practice
Demonstrated experience in MEX or similar based CMMS
Ability to diagnose equipment issues safely and promptly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
