Artyc is on a mission to decarbonize cold chain logistics with reusable, active cooling containers. Legacy refrigerants are quickly becoming the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions and, in combination with the loss of agricultural, pharmaceutical, and medical goods in transit, are expected to have an impact of 160 gigatons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions across the next decade. As a Manufacturing Engineer at Artyc, you will be helping us commercialize new products and continuously improve production processes within a close-knit team. For the Manufacturing Engineer role at Artyc, we are looking for a responsible person that’s as comfortable solving problems on the production floor as they are documenting the process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract manufacturing processes for PCBA and mechanical assembly.Act as our external technical resource, supporting the Engineering team.
- Participate in product design reviews and provide input to ensure potential problems are identified and corrected early in development to minimize impact to broader project scope/ resources/ budget.
- Lead Defect, CAPA, NCMR, FMEA, and Change Management activities.
- Ensure adequate supplier control plans and quality assessments are implemented, documented, and maintained.
- Author, review and approval of manufacturing/qualification documentation.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Passion for tackling and solving tough electromechanical problems.
- Executing detailed root cause analysis and recommending vetted solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex cross-functional issues in a clear, compelling manner, both orally and in writing.
- Up to 30% travel internationally and domestically
Preferred Skills:
- Proven work history of growing within an organization, learning its systems, and showing initiative.
- Experience designing test fixtures and implementing automated processes to test and monitor performance to improve and optimize manufacturing yield.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, statistical analysis tools, QA protocols.
- Plastic injection molding experience, having designed tooling.
- Understanding of refrigeration systems.
