About the Job

Job Summary:

Production and purification of research-grade AAV vectors in support of client drug substance process development and characterization. The team will provide support for analytical development areas of the Research Vector group.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform routine analytical assays on a weekly basis to determine product quality and characterization.
Characterize AAV viral vectors according to established protocols and report assay results in a timely manner.
Document analysis according to good documentation practices in electronic laboratory notebook or other documentation methods such as test data worksheets or other prescribed methods.
Perform DNA and Protein analysis including both quantitative and qualitative assays, e.g., ELISA, protein expression assays, MSD, HPLC and ddPCR.
Perform in vitro bioassays to measure product strength.
Formulation and testing of buffers and materials needed for routine assays and assay optimization.
Laboratory operations (ordering supplies, preparing buffers/mobile phase/culture media, operating laboratory equipment, participation in quality and safety assessments, sample receipt/management, utilize electronic lab notebook, data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices).
Support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures.
Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory.
Follow good laboratory, documentation, and safety practices.
