About the role
BURN is looking for a Quality Manager who will supervise the production process to ensure that all products meet consistent standards. The individual will develop and implement quality control tests, inspect products at various stages, and write reports documenting production issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of quality inspectors, technicians and other quality staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Ensure all raw materials and components coming into the factory are inspected according to the IQC procedures and any non-conforming materials are segregated. 
  • Ensure that all production processes conform to the set quality standards, including the final output, by ensuring strict adherence to the IPQC procedures. 
  • Implement Out-of-Box audit process and recommend improvements, product sorts or recalls.
  • Manage the material review board (MRB) and ensure correct procedures are followed in disposing non-conforming materials and components.
  • Provide relevant feedback, analysis, and data for improvements of the quality standards, product design and performance. 
  • Work with supply chain department to ensure local raw material suppliers understand and meet BURN quality standards.
  • Ensure testing equipment are in good condition and calibrated
  • Manage the CAR process for internal and supplier issues and ensure sufficient corrective actions are taken to address any non-conformities. 
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis for quality data.
  • Track factory quality performance trends - daily, monthly, and annually and come up with actions for improvement.
  • Provide feedback to the production department on operator training needs that can bring improvements in quality.
  • Ensure there is a prompt escalation of any quality issues to the management. 
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.


Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as quality manager in a manufacturing facility.
  • Conscientious and responsible
  • A keen eye for detail and a result-driven approach
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
  • Working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Background in mechanical or process engineering degree
  • Experience working in a sheet metal processing plant.
