About the Position:
Location: Houston TX/Arlington VA/Alpharetta GA/Phoenix AZ (Hybrid)

The Director of Planning, Americas plays a critical role in ensuring effective demand forecasting, planning processes and execution of logistics across the Americas Region. This critical position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing historical data, and driving accurate demand projections to meet future supply and other constraints.  This role will be part of the Supply Chain Operations, Americas.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving and process improvement, a track record for utilizing data to drive decisions, and exceptional cross organization collaboration skills. In alignment with company objectives, they will establish, monitor and analyze performance KPIs for planning and supply chain execution, and work with global COE to solve conflicts in partner supply chains. They will lead the regional S&OP activity and continuously improve our business processes. This is a critical role to help transform the Americas Supply Chain and position it to continue scaling. The ideal candidate will be a change agent, who can be agile and creative to succeed in a highly dynamic environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Training:
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to establish “Best in Class” demand planning processes, practices, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate across functions teams during the Demand Planning and implementation.  Leads demand/forecast reconciliation meetings between Sales, Marketing, Planning, Finance, and Others.
  • Provides a leadership role in promoting planning best practices, and alignment throughout multiple sites, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Contributes to growing the overall maturity and approach to Business planning, while remaining pragmatic to take the nature of the Business into consideration
  • Expert in the overall planning tools, working to identify best in class systems and software, focal point for fielding questions, sharing best practices, and resolving complex modeling or planning issues. 

  • Planning and Forecasting:
  • Recommend and implement baseline forecasting and fine-tuning best practices to enhance baseline forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify insights, root causes, and corrective action plans. Manages the global demand/forecast accuracy & planning metrics improvement process.
  • Ensures all planning objectives are met through active monitoring of activity and working with process partners to understand, define, and align differing goals.
  • Leads demand/forecast reconciliation meetings between Sales, Marketing, Planning, Finance, and Others

  • New Product Introductions (NPI):
  • Stay informed on NPI, working with the product organization, NPI team and commercial team to develop and recommend optimum planning to support business

  • Inventory Management:
  • Establish Regional inventory function and develop tools for governance and communication. Maintain accuracy at all locations Drive continuous improvement projects to ensure inventory turn targets are achieved. 

  • Business Process:
  • Support the Regional Team during the implementation of new ERP (SAP).
  • Drive the implementation of best practices and processes
