JOB OVERVIEW

CNPSA is seeking a results-driven professional with CANDU refurbishment knowledge, experience, and skills, to join our team of dedicated leaders in Romania in the role of Expert Quality Assurance supporting Cernavoda Unit 1 Refurbishment program.

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Quality Assurance and Quality Surveillance the Expert Quality Assurance will utilize their refurbishment experience to achieve project objectives on time, on budget and in compliance with applicable quality assurance and safety standards.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations:

 

  • Evaluate activities of the contractor(s) who will participate in the execution of the project to ensure that they have implemented a quality assurance program that meets the requirements of Cernavoda NPP (Nuclear Power Plant)
  • Ensures the development of the Quality Assurance Program, applicable to the Refurbishment Project, its documentation and implementation, aligned with the requirements of the integrated management system of Cernavoda NPP
  • Responsible for the activities associated with obtaining the environmental agreement for the refurbishment project and for the implementation of the environmental requirements, applicable to the realization of the project so that they are correlated with the requirements imposed by the competent authorities in the Environmental Permit of Cernavoda NPP
  • Verifies the procurement initiation documentation from the point of view of introducing the quality management requirements, in accordance with the applicable CNCAN norms
  • Verifies the fulfillment of the applicable quality management requirements, in the performance of the contracts related to the refurbishment project
  • Ensures the verification of the inspection and testing plans (ITP) and of the supporting documents from the contracts related to the refurbishment project, from the point of view of complying with the applicable quality management requirements
  • Provides the interface for the observance of the hold and assistance points by the contractors

 

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking dynamic and results-driven professionals who have the following: 

  • 10 years relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with CANDU Nuclear Power Plants
  • Comprehensive understanding of CANDU technology and operations
  • Expertise in QA processes and procedures as applicable to CANDU Nuclear Power Plants
  • Demonstrated capability to manage, lead, and escalate as required
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure to support unit restart schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in leading technical projects to successful conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated a high commitment to quality
  • Drives results at all levels
  • High sense of personal accountability
  • Romanian Language proficiency would be beneficial, but is not a requirement
