About the Position:
Location: Arlington VA/Alpharetta GA/Houston TX (Hybrid)

The Sr. Manager – People Platforms for Human Resources will act as a strategic partner between the HR function and IT, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with HR business needs. This role will leverage expertise in Workday and other HR systems to optimize HR processes, enhance operational efficiencies, and improve employee experience across the organization. The Sr. Manager will work closely with stakeholders, both in HR and IT, to deliver integrated solutions and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary liaison between HR and IT, building strong relationships to understand HR’s needs and translating them into technical solutions.
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of Workday and other HR-related systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver value.
• Ensure projects stay on track and are completed in a timely manner. 
• Lead initiatives that support HR’s digital transformation goals, including process automation, data integrity, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with HR leaders to identify system enhancements, upgrades, and troubleshooting strategies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, including system configurations, integrations, and new feature rollouts.
• Drive the adoption of HR technology solutions, providing training, resources, and support to the HR team and broader organization.
• Develop roadmaps and strategic plans for HR technology in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Ensure that HR systems comply with data privacy regulations and corporate security standards.
• Act as the escalation point for HR system-related issues and manage the prioritization of enhancement requests.
• Stay current on HR technology trends and innovations to propose future improvements.
• Travel occasionally to our company offices as needed for strategic meetings and project implementations.


What an ideal candidate bring to Fluence:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Business Relationship Management or HR Technology role, with a focus on Workday and other HR systems.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Workday HR modules (e.g., Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Performance, and Compensation).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system optimization and enhancement.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including HR, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, including talent management, payroll, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and IT security protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally as required.

  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Workday HCM, Reporting, Workday Integration, and Workday Security.
  • Experience with ADP Payroll, Lever (ATS) and other systems supporting Workday HR.
  • Experience in ticketing system e.g. Jira, Service Now.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other financial systems and their integration with HR platforms.
  • Experience in a global organization with a remote workforce.
  • General knowledge of HR Processes and functions.
  • Experience in writing or reviewing Business Requirements Documents, Test Plans, and Design Documents
