We have an impressive portfolio of involvement in major infrastructure projects, including lead roles in the consenting and delivery of projects through various consenting regimes including DCOs. We are currently leading on planning applications for renewables and wider energy/electricity related infrastructure, transport, defence, water and much more.

Based from our Manchester office, with an opportunity for hybrid working, you will be joining a great team; you will have an interesting and diverse workload and you will be given the opportunity to make the most of your abilities.

Due to significant infrastructure planning wins and new opportunities, we are looking to bring in an Associate Director to our Manchester office to manage and grow our planning consents team and offer in the North West. We would also consider an appointment at Technical Director level for an exceptional candidate.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • As part of our senior leadership team, you will manage and grow our planning consents service in the North West, which may include line management and/or mentoring of junior team members.
  • Performing the Planning Lead role for major development applications, including through the DCO process and providing planning strategy advice to colleagues and clients.
  • Ensuring successful delivery of projects on budget and programme, including coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Overseeing deliverables produced by the planning consents team and implementing quality and health and safety principles.
  • Contributing to our business development strategy, developing client relationships and leading the preparation of successful commercial tenders.
