With a workforce of approx. 1,300 employees, and the knowledge and experience we have gained over several decades, we are multi-disciplinary innovators in the development of production plants. We are familiar with the challenges, legal requirements and, of course, all relevant issues relating to our customers’ production, and are able to provide optimum advice and active support for the reorganization or optimization of their plants. As engineers, we speak the same language as our customers and understand their problems and requirements.

It goes without saying that we are fully committed to cost efficiency and the use of state-of-the-art processes and technologies. We transfer this know-how equally to our three business fields: for automotive solutions, industrial solutions and mobility solutions. Worldwide.

This is how you will grow:

We are seeking an experienced Field Electrical Engineer with Controls Experience to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems on-site. The Field Electrical Engineer will work closely with contractors, OEMs, and the project management team to ensure the successful execution of projects, while meeting all safety and performance standards. This is a hands-on role, requiring fieldwork in an industrial or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Support and Installation:

o Provide on-site technical expertise during the installation of electrical and control systems.

o Review and interpret electrical and control system designs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

o Work with contractors to ensure proper installation, cable routing, panel placement, and control system assembly.

• Testing and Commissioning:

o Lead on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA).

o Oversee functional testing of equipment to ensure proper integration and system operation.

o Ensure all electrical installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

o Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues encountered during installation and commissioning.

o Work with control systems software and hardware to resolve communication errors, sensor issues, and device failures.

o Collaborate with equipment vendors, contractors, and the engineering team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

• Project Coordination:

o Coordinate daily activities with the project management team and contractors to maintain installation and commissioning schedules.

o Provide input and feedback on electrical and control system design improvements based on field conditions and experiences.

o Maintain detailed records of installation progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.

• Safety and Compliance:

o Ensure all field activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and electrical codes (NFPA, NEC, etc.).

o Perform site safety inspections, and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.

o Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and reporting requirements during all field activities.
