Job Description

The Plant & Equipment Administrator is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and documentation of plant and equipment on the Alkimos Seawater Alliance Project.

The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos.

At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.

Key accountabilities for the position

  • Oversee the allocation, scheduling, and utilization of plant and equipment across construction sites.
  • Ensure that all machinery is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Coordinate regular inspections, servicing, and repairs of equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of plant and equipment, including purchase, rental, and disposal records.
  • Monitor equipment usage and track usage metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records related to equipment maintenance, repairs, and usage.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and environmental regulations.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • HV license and Plant license/s
  • White Card
  • Minimum 3 years experience in administration, civil construction or allied industry
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position in infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of plant and equipment operations, maintenance practices, and safety regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
