Job Description
Project:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.
Job Description
Work with the Approvals Manager and Environmental and Sustainability Manager to ensure all post-approvals required for project activities are obtained in accordance with the project program.
Work with the broader project team to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, project conditions of approval, EIS commitments and management plans.
Engage with relevant public authorities as required for the purposes of obtaining approvals and reporting.
Provide expertise in environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
Conduct environmental audits, inspections, reporting, and close out of action items.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
Strong understanding of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent written communication skills and ability to prepare plans, reports and other documentation quickly.
Proven track record of prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Impeccable attention to detail, judgement and integrity.
Proficiency in conducting environmental audits, inspections and monitoring.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
