About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Indirect Purchasing Officer to join our procurement team for a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you will manage the procurement process for indirect goods and services, overseeing purchase order (PO) conversion, delivery management, and handling invoicing enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organisation.

You will also be responsible for maintaining purchasing related master data in SAP, collaborating with suppliers to resolve any issues, and ensuring the accuracy of delivery schedules and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data stewardship, PO conversion, and delivery management for all indirect purchasing.
  • Create and manage purchasing related master data in SAP, such as relevant material master fields, vendor master, pricing records etc., for allocated indirect spend, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders for indirect procurement, and monitor supplier deliveries to ensure schedules are met.
  • Update purchase order acknowledgements and manage supplier delivery schedules.
  • Resolve supplier issues such as invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality concerns.
  • Ensure the accuracy of procurement documentation and maintain data integrity within SAP.

About You:

  • 3 - 8 years of experience in indirect purchasing, procurement, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes such as, purchase order processes, vendor management, invoicing procedures, etc..
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capability to resolve supplier-related issues such as invoice variances, returns, and quality problems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement data and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
