Senior Project Manager - APAC (BESS Projects)

About the Job
Your Mission:
- You will be responsible for the Delivery of Customer Projects Lead, from contract execution through to successful handover to operations across APAC, in line with Energy Vaults Systems, Processes and ISO Certifications.
- You will be the valued and trusted partner of the end customer, with a primary focus to achieve on time on budget delivery, reducing project risks, without incidents/accidents and proactively identifying enhancement opportunities.
- You will be responsible for monitoring and managing all aspects of Project Delivery, working with multiple stakeholders, working on multiple projects/tasks at one time, and working as part of a global team.
- Effectively manage client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders, and responses to client inquiries and provide “Best in class customer experience”.
- Work with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partners to plan, sequence, develop schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned projects including all aspects of project engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Manage EPC and construction contractors’ construction activities associated with the installation of civil foundations, electrical cabling infrastructure, Fiber Optic communications work, fencing etc.
- Supervise project implementation to assure cost, time, quality, and project execution is according to the contact schedule and budget.
- Track progress against the established project plan and critical milestones and provide recovery action plans to alter or update schedule and resource allocation as needed to meet schedule requirements.
- Ensure project Scope of Work, as per customer requirements, is delivered, on time and on budget, manage and monitor adherence to approved plans, specifications, and appropriate governing code.
- Identify deficient contractor work, monitor, and verify that the Contractor effectively corrects deficient work. Record and drive to resolution corrective actions.
- Monitor and ensure Contractor's compliance with the approved Contractor's Quality Plan in coordination with Quality specialists on-site including Contractor's and stakeholder representatives.
- Manage construction managers to provide with a thorough record of the work performed by completing and submitting a Daily construction report and Monthly project report.
- Maintain submittal control, including scheduling, receiving, reviewing, approving, and expediting submittals from suppliers and subcontractors to comply with the progress schedule.
- Deploy company controls and strict discipline to projects that support Change Order Management, and approvals to these processes, for both company representative’s requests, the EPC contractor, and subcontractors.
- Ensure HSEQ compliance with all company processes and procedures (as per ISO accreditation) during project execution, including Site construction, ensuring zero harm. Work closely with the project construction, safety and quality managers to make corrections and rectifications as required to comply with contract and code and compliance policies.
- Manage Grid modelling process and Inverter modelling to achieve connection and commissioning approval from AEMO or similar authorities or regulators.
- Communicate project progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders; collaborate with management and internal partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues and lessons learnt.
- Manage project invoicing and purchase orders and coordinate ordered equipment logistics.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, or similar) or Management or another related engineering science
- 7+ years’ experience in managing electrical infrastructure projects such as sub-stations, wind farms, solar/PV farms, gas-based power plants, power stations, other utility-scale power, data center projects.
- 2+years of BESS or PV project experience, preferred.
- Has independently overseen large multi-million-dollar projects.
- PMP certification, preferred.
- Experience in permitting/planning processes with local authorities and stakeholders.
- Strong in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Primavera P6 experience big plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 40%.

The Energy Vault solution utilizes the same fundamentals of physics and kinetic energy as pumped hydro but replaces the water with custom made cylindrical blocks utilizing an extremely innovative use of low-cost materials. The system is modular and can be designed with a capacity of between 10 and 35MWh and a power output of up to 5MW. The system has been designed for a 30+ year life with no degradation in storage capacity.
