Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do:

You will provide direct linux support for business critical systems and lead IT in linux automation and infrastructure as code. You will lead the team in designing and implementing an IT observability platform based on open source standards.  This position will liaise closely with our engineering, research and development, and information security teams to ensure that the IT department is working safely with the latest technologies.  Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Linux Systems Administration
  • Ansible playbook design and refactoring
  • Terraform implementation
  • Linux Automation lead for IT
  • Design observability platform
  • Lead future SRE team

What You Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in Linux administration
  • BS in CS/IT or similar
  • Any licenses/certifications
  • Python, Bash expertise required
  • AWS, IAM experience a must
  • IAC, CloudFormation expertise

Bonus Qualifications:

  • MS in IT/CS or similar
  • Aircraft/Airline experience
  • BC/DR Lead experience

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
