Job Title: Lead Analyst - Database Support SQL Server DBADepartment:  Infrastructure Middleware &amp; DBReports to: Supervisor - Infrastructure Middleware &amp; DB Location: In Office, Augusta METhe base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $106,000 - $132,500SQL Server DBA Job DescriptionPurpose<ul><li>Provides support for the AVANGRID SQL Server database environments &amp; applications using SQL Server databases.</li><li>Participate in all database system design, maintenance, and enhancement work and documentation.</li><li>Proactively monitor and maintain all database and application systems for an uninterrupted service to the Energy Control Center (ECC).</li><li>Analyze, extract and make available system data for the engineers on request.</li><li>Works within the Control Center environment and supports Cyber Security requirements for Control Center operations.</li></ul>Key Technical Working skills<ul><li>Proficiency in Various SQL server installation and configurations on SQL Server 2019 and Experience in migrating from early versions of SQL Server to SQL Server 2019 and above.</li><li>Strong background in SQL Server database administration including Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, Troubleshoot and Identify the issues on MS-SQL 2016/2019.</li><li>Experience in high availability methods like clustering and/or mirroring, Always ON Availability Groups on a Multi-site environment.</li><li>Experience in applying database patches, security patches and application patches.</li><li>Maintain Stored Procedures, Indexes, SQL Jobs, Alerts, Special Procedures, views, functions, SSIS, in a multi-server environment.</li><li>Ability to identify and troubleshoot the issues with Permissions, Networking, firewall, AD group, Ad Authentications and VMware etc.,</li><li>Ability to review the Audit requirement and apply the fixes if required.</li><li>Experience with scheduling backups restoring databases using SQL native backups also knowledge on Veeam and/or Veritas backups. </li><li>Experience on SQL Mail configurations and Notification for any Job failures as well proactive notifications like blocking, Deadlock, space issues, etc.,</li><li>Strong Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) tasks, design, implement and manage.</li><li>Strong background in database and application Tuning and optimizing SQL statements in applications, batch jobs, and reports.</li><li>Very good, In-depth know of database security, privilege assignment and design role-based security.</li><li>Experience in SolarWinds DPA is a plus.</li><li>Experience in Datacenter Migrations is a plus.</li></ul>General Knowledge &amp; Skills<ul><li>Working with the understanding of relevant Industry Compliance Regulations and Policies.</li><li>Performing scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours and/or during maintenance windows.</li><li>Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.</li><li>Monitoring performance issues and for availability on all production and non-production databases (as applicable).</li><li>The ability to demonstrate good communication skills both written and orally.
