Your Opportunity 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee the daily field operations across multiple locations within Kathairos’ Peace River Arch region, ensuring all sites meet the high standards of safety, quality, service, and operational efficiencyYou will be based in or near Grand Prairie, Alberta and lead a professional team of Driver / Operators who have a passion for what they doYou will also develop and implement regional strategies in alignment with the company’s overall business goals, focusing on productivity, process improvement and execution. 

 

Your Responsibilities 

  • You will lead a team of Driver / Operators, ensuring team effectiveness and performance. 
  • You will be involved in identifying talent needs, recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and providing performance feedback and evaluations to team members. 
  • You instill and uphold a customer service culture within the region that fosters retention, relationships and loyalty, positioning the region for increased growth opportunities. 
  • You will ensure field deliveries are accurate, compliant and on-time based on internal and external turnaround time expectations. 
    • You will continuously collaborate and connect with customers to schedule refills, troubleshoot equipment and act as an ambassador to the company. 
    • You will review telemetry data and help set priorities for the team to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded. 
    • You assume overall responsibility for P&L, safety, and personnel. 
    • You will have a safety-first mindset, ensuring beyond compliance safety standards in the region for self and for the team, working closely with the HSE Manager to ensure adequate team training and processes are in place and auditing accordingly. 
    • You will be responsible for the safety procedures, compliance with regulations, and risk management. 
    • You will audit and coach CDL drivers based off their Motive safety scores and coachable events.  
    • You will ensure the district remains compliant with the company, customer and DOT safety policies and procedures. 
    • You maintain, build trust and grow excellent client relationships through effective communication, credibility, and technical knowledge. 
    • You work to develop cost effective ways to better service Kathairos’ customer base. 
    • You regularly conduct management field visits and will be available for customer field visits. 
    • You will act with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and respect. 
    • You will uphold Kathairos’ positive image and reputation in the community. 
    • You will contribute to and ensure accuracy of reporting metrics of the region. 
    • You will complete all required paperwork accurately and on-time (i.e. logbooks, trip sheets, nitrogen fill tickets). 

     

    What you offer 

    Required (Must have): 

    • Previous experience effectively building and developing a strong team. 
    • 7+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically in the field transportation sector. 
    • Working knowledge of cryogenics. 
    • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make sound decisions. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results and goal orientation.  
    • Excellent communication skills in written or oral format 
    • Strong sense of team and self accountability skills  
    • Solid understanding of distribution and dispatching. 
    • Valid Class A CDL 
    • Valid Tanker and WHMIS/TDG endorsements 
    • A clean driving record with within the last 3 years. 
    • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test. 
    • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. 

     

    Valued (Nice to have): 

    • Post secondary education. 
    • Off road oilfield hauling experience.
