Terrestrial Energy is developing, for near-term commercial operation, a zero-emissions cogeneration plant for a global industry using its proprietary Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) fission technology in an innovative, small and modular plant design. The IMSR is a non-Light Water Reactor of the Generation IV class that operates at the high temperature required for broad industrial relevance with transformative economic potential. The IMSR plant is ideally suited for distributed generation on a large-scale of electricity and heat across many energy-intensive industries.  This includes but is not limited to: petrochemical and chemical plants, and data centers. The IMSR plant provides a near 50 percent improvement in efficiency of electric power generation compared to Light Water Reactor nuclear plants. Its industrial cogeneration capability delivers to today’s markets industrial competitiveness, security of energy, and zero-emissions industrial production. The IMSR plants use of existing industrial materials, components, and fuels supports its near-term deployment, setting the stage for a transformation and rapid global decarbonization of the primary energy system.

 

The Engineering Intern – Infrastructure, under the direction of the IT Services Director, is primarily responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise information flow, ensuring smooth integration of systems and processes within the organization.



Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and teammates to design and develop written and visual product-related technical content for various audiences, including end users, system administrators, channel partners, internal support engineers, product developers, and training developers.
  • Supporting the development of standards, style documents, templates, scripts, style sheets, and graphic libraries to ensure a consistent information experience.
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of content reuse strategies across plugins.
  • Supporting end-to-end projects (planning, developing, reviewing, testing, releasing, and following up).
  • Supporting the development of technical content in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Supporting the management of IT user support tickets.
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of training materials.
  • Supporting the implementation of structured content in documentation.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Senior Students or new grads preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Query language
  • Demonstrated success in team project deliveries and the execution methods
  • Skills and ability to learn complex applications and processes
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of the organization


Assets:

  • Proficient in JSP, XML, HTML and xQuery
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Basic Knowledge of enterprise storage systems, and backup technologies
  • Working knowledge of CAD Applications
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, perform installation of various hardware and software for both users and developers
  • Understanding of Information Mapping for efficient content management, searchability, and use across various platforms and applications
