We are searching for a skilled AP Staff Accountant to join our team to assist in processing, tracking, and recording bills & payments accurately, efficiently, and timely. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a solid accounting foundation and possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions.



Responsabilities

  • Manage and own accounts payable, & expense reimbursements process, including AP processing, vendor management, and payment reconciliation. Also, support month-end and year-end close processes by performing account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Monitor cash balances and initiate intercompany cash transfers. Perform bank reconciliation for multiple entities and record automated ACH debits. And, assist outside tax accountants with tax filings.
  • Participate and assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Assist in external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance plus 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting is required.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Having prior experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable will be considered a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Preferably experience with accounting software and online platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities as well as the ability to work independently as part of a team.

Manufacturing and Engineering Departments Physical Requirements:
-Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
-This position will often: Sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist,  climb, balance, stoop, squat,  kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions. 
-Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs
-Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls
-Lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pound
