The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives. This role requires a solid understanding of Salesforce project lifecycles, from discovery and requirements gathering to implementation and post-launch support. The Project Manager will oversee cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure project milestones are met. Additionally, the role involves mitigating risks, optimising resources, and continuously improving project management processes. The Project Manager will also provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to business development efforts.

Roles & Responsibilities

Consulting

  • Lead the planning and execution of Salesforce implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business needs.

  • Collaborate with clients to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, offering expert advice on Salesforce best practices.

  • Facilitate discovery workshops and design sessions to understand client requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.

  • Oversee technical teams, ensuring that Salesforce solutions are designed, configured, and delivered in accordance with the agreed-upon strategy.

  • Provide ongoing consultation to clients post-implementation, ensuring the continued alignment of the solution with evolving business needs.

Business Development/Leadership/Strategy

  • Lead the development of project proposals, including scoping, resource planning, and budget estimation for Salesforce projects.

  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve project delivery processes and ensure alignment with broader business goals.

  • Mentor and guide junior project managers, ensuring their professional development and supporting their project delivery.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and provide input into business strategy.

  • Contribute to pre-sales activities, including client presentations, solution demonstrations, and RFP responses.

Client Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring strong relationships and clear communication.

  • Proactively address client concerns, manage expectations, and ensure that project objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks to clients and stakeholders.

  • Lead post-launch support efforts, ensuring the successful adoption and continued optimization of Salesforce solutions for clients.

  • Deliver post-project reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Risk & Compliance

  • Comply with relevant firm and industry legislation and incorporate into practices and processes as relevant

  • Report all identified risks, breaches

  • Comply with relevant WH&S legislation, adhering to reasonable instructions, work procedures and practices to maintain the health and safety of the team

  • Report all workplace hazards and incidents

Special conditions

  • Ordinary full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8am – 6pm

  • On occasion some out of hours work may be required – please note unpaid overtime may also be required on occasions

Selection criteria

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Extensive experience managing complex Salesforce implementation projects, from initiation to post-launch support.

  • An understanding of Salesforce products, solutions, and integrations, with the ability to align technical capabilities with business needs.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and resolve conflicts.

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to risk management and issue resolution.

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

  • Experience in preparing detailed project plans, reports, and documentation to ensure transparency and alignment with goals.

  • Familiarity with compliance standards, governance frameworks, and risk management in the context of Salesforce implementations.

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
