Business development: You actively drive the development of new markets in North America and Canada and form the nucleus of our permanent presence within the region.
Regional market strategies: You develop and implement sales and market development strategies to build and sustainably scale the business in the area.
Customer acquisition: You identify potential customers and business partners in the respective regions and build long-term, strategic partnerships.
Market analysis: You conduct market analyses to identify trends, competitors and customer needs and develop customized solutions with regards to the Orcan technology.
Sales and business development: You are responsible for implementing sales strategies in the regions, support the sales process from the initial approach to the closing of the contract and take on the management of major projects.
Regional network development: You build a strong network of partners and customers and nurture relationships with decision-makers in the respective markets.
Your profile
Professional experience: Several years of professional experience and proven success in international sales and the development of new business areas for asset-based solutions requiring explanation, ideally in the energy sector in North America and Canada.
Market knowledge: Familiarity with the different markets and the respective energy business environment (regulatory, pricing,...) in North America and Canada.
Understanding of local business practices: Knowledge of business culture and etiquette; ability to navigate and communicate successfully in different cultural contexts
Experience in dealing with local authorities: Understanding of regulatory frameworks and approval processes
Entrepreneurial thinking and action: High level of initiative, strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to “pioneer” new business opportunities, entrepreneurial personality, with the ability to recognize and seize opportunities, strong analytical skills, the ability to understand complex market developments and a feel for trends and future developments.
Education: Successfully completed studies in business administration, engineering or a related field.
Project management: Experience in coordinating complex, international projects.
Technical understanding: Basic knowledge of ORC technology desirable.
Language skills: Business fluent in English
Willingness to travel to and in North America and Canada.
