ABOUT THE ROLE

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for completing all phases of contracts administration, including contract terms and conditions, contract administration, and customer contact activities in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and company specifications. You will partner directly with the Development and Land Management teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Complete large volume of complex documentation in support of business transactions, such as tax equity transactions, to include business processing, shared data rooms, acquisitions, compliance, terms/conditions, and contract preparation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, agency representatives, consultants, and vendors to negotiate, develop, and finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinate tax equity closing and post-closing tasks and track progress. Draft and revise tax equity closing documents and coordinate execution and delivery of same. Prepare reports and charts for tax equity closings.
  • Coordinate, develop, and produce contract documentation, such as contracts, agreements, modification task/delivery orders, solicitations, special contract provisions, certifications, and correspondence. Monitor and track deliverables.
  • Analyze project documents for compliance to company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain electronic data rooms for due diligence. Maintain detailed and organized files for effective document management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, outside parties, and federal agencies to obtain project documentation and/or coordinate issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate transactions, paralegal role, or related field.
    • Experience in real estate matters is a plus.
  • Licensure/Certification: Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
  • Skills/Attributes:
    • Familiarity with transactional legal documents in their domain, with the ability to effectively analyze them. 
    • Effectively supports internal and external teams through legal and commercial matters by timely completing assigned tasks. 
    • Ability to analyze complex legal documents involving multiple internal and external parties. 
    • Ability to partner with attorneys on judgements within their scope of work. 
    • Collaborates with attorneys and/or other Contracts Administrators to collectively solve complex legal problems. 
    • Effectively deliver legal documents requested by internal and external counsel or parties. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills that foster effective collaboration with internal stakeholders. 
    • Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
