World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Senior Director, Artificial Intelligence and Insights.
Major Function
The Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence and Insights plays a leadership role in shaping strategy and technical implementation of an enterprise program that leverages primarily Microsoft technologies (Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Copilot, 365, Power Platform) for data governance; architecture and engineering; reporting and analytics; artificial intelligence (AI); and content management, collaboration, and automation. This is a hands-on role that is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to drive digital transformation and identify opportunities to optimize performance and increase operational efficiency.
Salary: The expected compensation range for this position is $171,100 - $245,900.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise data, analytics, AI, and content management programs.
Oversee a team responsible for data governance, architecture, engineering, management, and analytics to drive digital transformation, and lead reporting, analytics, and visualization efforts for the US and field offices.
Lead the efforts to establish an enterprise AI program; leverage AI capabilities to enhance data analytics, predictive modeling, and decision-making; and ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies, including data privacy, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee the implementation and management of content management and collaboration; guide initiatives to ensure seamless communication, document sharing, and collaboration across the organization; lead information rights management to protect sensitive data; and drive adoption of collaboration services and best practices; and lead strategy and technical efforts for long-term storage needs, records management, document retention.
Oversee low-code development, business process revisions, and automations to improve operations and increase efficiencies.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development; curate knowledge base content; increase adoption of new technologies; and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
Provide leadership (management, mentoring, and training) for internal staff and oversee the work of external consultants.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Manage and mentor a technical team.
Foster collaboration and innovation within the team and across the organization.
Set performance goals and evaluate progress.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience.
MUST HAVE 12+ years of experience with:
Establishing, leading, and operating data programs.
Developing strategies and roadmaps for data management, quality and analytics.
Experience establishing, leading, and operating an AI program to deliver agile solutions while managing data as a valued asset.
Leading enterprise content management, records management, document retention, and information rights management initiatives.
Designing and leading low-code development activities to automate tasks, optimize performance, and create efficiencies.
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work accurately under time constraints.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate with considerable independence and discretion.
Experience developing organizational strategies and leading organizational initiatives.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities.
Demonstrated management capability including analytical and trouble-shooting skills, the ability to delegate technical work, and oversee quality of technical products developed.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work with users who possess limited and advanced computer knowledge.
Proven experience and ability managing and inspiring a team, building and maintaining relationships with vendors.
