What You Will Do

  • Development of a drawing showing the various facilities in our plant, compressed air, electricity, natural gas and HVAC as well as some others 
  • Label Assets projects identifying Assets. Tracking through CMMS  
  • Create CAD Drawings to reduce Downtime. Create drawings on Server for Troubleshooting  
  • Plant Structural Identification projects identifying Utilities, 5s of Utilities. 
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of specific team and department initiatives and goals.   
  • Develop and expand functional, technical, and soft skills.   
  • Collaborate with peers and present findings at the conclusion of the internship to the Clarios executive leadership team.    
  • Experience professional manufacturing practices and processes and be a part of a winning Team.
  • Host and be a part of weekly meetings to ensure you have the support and help that you need and desire.

How You Will Do It

  • Documenting and updating Lube Route for current Lube Processes.
  • Updating manuals at each line to show Spare Parts List.
  • Assisting with labeling each critical asset for Vibration Process Point.
  • Participating in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and develop process improvement plans.
  • Learning directly from functional experts by having weekly 1:1 mentoring conversations related to career development.

What We Look For

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Duration: Summer 2025. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.
  • Working Arrangements: On-site based at our manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC.

Our Winston-Salem, North Carolina assembly plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications. We opened our facility in 1978 and now employ more than 500 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through food drives for Second Harvest Food Bank and toy drives for Brenner Children’s Hospital.
