As we continue to develop cutting-edge technologies and sustainable energy solutions, we are looking to hire a versatile Electronics Design Engineer to help us develop the core electronics behind our plug-and-play solar products. This role focuses on designing robust, scalable electrical systems that enable safe, efficient, and reliable renewable energy hardware.<h3> Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Own end-to-end electrical development, including requirements definition, specification, design execution, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, DFM iteration, board bring-up, system integration, and validation</li><li>Design and develop electronics for renewable energy systems, including power conversion, sensing, control, and communications functions</li><li>Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, controls, PCB layout, program management, validation, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance hardware</li><li>Debug hardware issues and system-level interactions in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary development environment</li><li>Produce clear and thorough technical documentation, including design requirements, calculations, test plans, validation results, and design reviews</li><li>Support prototype builds, industrialization, supplier engagement, and production ramp activities</li><li>Rapidly iterate designs as requirements evolve and product features mature over time</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Strong understanding of power electronics and circuit design, including dc/dc converters, inverters, battery-powered systems, power switching devices, gate drivers, magnetics, and loss modeling/calculation</li><li>Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, signal conditioning, common communications interfaces, component selection, and thermal/power dissipation considerations</li><li>Experience with PCB design and layout for mixed power and signal systems, including minimizing parasitics and designing for EMI/EMC performance</li><li>Experience with circuit board design tools, ideally Altium Designer</li><li>Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, LCR meters, and power analyzers</li><li>Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and root-cause analysis</li><li>Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as LTspice, PLECS, or similar</li><li>Basic scripting or programming ability, ideally in Python or MATLAB</li><li>Basic knowledge of embedded systems, PWM, and control concepts for power conversion</li><li>Experience supporting products through manufacturing and high-volume production is a plus</li><li>Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary and an equity sign-on bonus</li><li>Biannual bonus scheme</li><li>Fully expensed tech to match your needs</li><li>Paid annual leave</li><li>Breakfast and dinner allowance for office based employees</li></ul>
